Summary

Out-of-Stock SEO Cleanup is a Shopify Theme App Extension. It runs entirely inside your Shopify storefront as Liquid code. The app does not have a backend server that stores or processes your data. No personal customer data, order data, or product data leaves your Shopify store as a result of using this app.

1. Data we collect

From the merchant: When you install the app from the Shopify App Store, Shopify shares your shop domain with us so we can verify the install. We do not request access to any other scope (the requested scope set is empty).

From storefront visitors: None. The app does not run any tracking, analytics, cookies, or external requests on your storefront.

2. How the app works

The app is a Theme App Extension that renders a single Liquid snippet on product pages. The snippet checks product.available and an optional metafield, and decides whether to output a <meta name="robots" content="noindex,follow"> tag. All of this evaluation happens on Shopify's servers as part of normal page rendering. There is no external service involved.

3. Data sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties.

4. Data retention

Because we do not collect data, there is nothing to retain. If you uninstall the app, the Liquid snippet stops rendering immediately and any cached install record on our side (currently: shop domain only) is purged.

5. GDPR / CCPA

We comply with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because the app does not store customer data, these webhooks respond with a no-op. You can request confirmation at any time via the contact below.

6. Cookies

This app does not set cookies.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify installed merchants via Shopify's app announcement channel.
